'The project' started when Shahril's vessel entered the MMHE dry dock area, Pasir Gudang Johor for some maintenance and overhaul last April. He was the one who actually very semangat to plan our very first 'tryout'. He made some calculations and found that its the purrrrfect time to start making a baby, for real. I was not that excited that time because I kinda wasn't ready to end our honeymoon year, meanwhile my husband, just cant wait to start being a dad. He was just green with envy when he saw his friends all preoccupied with their kids. Knowing my hubby, he loves loves loves kids. So I immediately agreed to his plan when I see a glow on her face every time he talks about kids and having one.. And so our journey started..
| after 4 months of being apart, our mini honeymoon onboard started :) |
| He loves being around kids :) |
the first step we took was calculating my exact ovulation date. I downloaded an app from the App Store and it basically calculates the dates of your menstrual and ovulation. Coincidentally, one of the many weekends that I went to Pasir Gudang was my ovulation days. and the rest is history!
We were both so happy to learn that I'm pregnant on May, Alhamdulillah.. Shahril signed off on June and we received a good news that he will further his studies at ALAM for six months starting July. That means that he wont ever miss my monthly antenatal checkups till i'm due, InsyaAllah! yipeee..

waiting for our appoinment with Dr Ahmad Saifuddin, our gynecologist.
Shahril was there for me for the remaining 7 months of my pregnancy. MasyaAllah I am more than grateful to have my hubby by my side- mainly to satisfy my monster cravings especially the late night ones (hehehe), and to physically support me when pregnancy blues and emotional roller coasters hit me.

It was a smooth and easy 9 months of pregnancy, Alhamdulillah. I dont have pregnancy or morning sickness, I dont have any allergies or weird alahan, but I did gain 17 kilos up till 38 weeks! (yikes!). I always remind myself that Allah is fair. I didnt experience any problems carrying my baby, but the downside was, i became a walking whale by the end of my pregnancy.
a day before labor
Finally, the day that we have been waiting for arrived.. On the 13th of January 2013, Eva Adeena Bt Shahril was born at Mahkota Medical Centre, Melacca. She weighed 2.7 kg. instantly, my heart grows twice its size as now i have two persons to love- my loving husband and my precious daughter. Eva is a derivation from Eve which is Hawa in Malay, and Adeena means pious and good luck.

Day 2
Alhamdulillah we are now proud parents! Mummy and Daddy love you so much till Jannah, Eva Adeena. We pray that you'll be a good girl and solehah daughter, Amin..
